Re: What is most important, technical info.

Well that idea ain't gonna work. I found "1 foot pounds-force = 1.355818 joules" and I think most trad bows fall into 30-50? foot pounds of KE. You gotta realize they envisioned the goal and then made...

Re: What is most important, technical info.

A gun provides much more energy than a bow. It cannot be compared : cinetic energy works with the square of speed (speed*speed), so if you multiply the speed by 4, you have 4*4=16 times more energy.So...

Re: What is most important, technical info.

No you wouldn't include blades. If you did it would be like you were shooting a 1" dowel at them and that wouldn't calculate well.

Re: What is most important, technical info.

No of course not blades. We are calculating surface. The surface of a blade is about 0.5mm thick and 25mm wide... so that is about 12.5squaremm, and 32grams/12.5mm2=2.56g/mm2 and that is high... but...
